Brook whirled at him. "I know she is! She's my daughter, I know what she is and isn't going to be!" she growled, wiggling under her daughter so that the canine was draped comfortably over her back. "I'm taking her to the barn. Tell your little runt friend that when she comes back," she hissed, her voice laced with hatred as she dashed for the red barn, making sure Chris didn't slip off.
Ellie looked back at Vivian, and then to the Doctor. "I don't think there's any other way..." she whispered, staring sadly at both the hybrid and her Umbreon. She gestured the Dark type to come beside her, and she laid her arm over him affectionately.

Don watchec her dash off, his fur prickling. Did he really think that he did jot care about his own daughter at all? He had never expected that Broom would be so protective.
Victoria came running back, two super potions crowding her mouth. As she put them down she looked around. "Where'd they go?" She asked, looking at Don.
"Brook is mad at me," he replied softly with a frown. "You take care of Judis, okay? I'm going to go find them."
Victoria was puzzled but she nodded and Don picked up one of the potions and started toward the barn after his girlfriend and daughter. He slowed as he neared the barn and poked his head inside, gazing around anxiously.
The vet nodded and pulled out a Pokéball. In a flash of red light a jigglypuff appeared. The pink Pokémon looked around the room and as her eyes fixed on EV she frowned in concern.
"Sing, Pepto," Dr. Pretz said, pressing her hands against her ears and gesturing for Ellie to do the same.
The little Jigglypuff bounced once and held an invisible microphone to her mouth as she began to Sing. The muskcal notes pressed hard into EV's ears and she felt her limbs get weak. Her eyes closed, and sheblet out a weak growl as she tried to fight the inevitable sleepiness that accompanies the attack, but dinally she fell into a deep sleep.

Brook huffed as she settled her unconcious daughter in a soft pile of hay and curled around her, murmuring a faint lullaby as she closed her own eyes, trying to cool off herself as well. She knew that it didn't do her any good getting angry, but she couldn't help it. She had to raise Chris her whole life, had to train her, had to nuture her by herself. Then that black doberman waltzes in, and lets her precious offspring battle some sort of gnarly, rabid canine.
Her back stiffened as she caught whiff of Don's fresh scent, along with the pipsqueak with near-invisible tails. She began to growl, her head over her shoulder and her honey-crimson eyes flaming with anger.
Ellie nodded and plugged her ears with her fingers, muting the Jigglypuff's singing as best as she could. She was happy the vet hadn't enjected her with a sleeping potion like she'd guessed that was what she'd do. She felt Angelo slip by her side. She'd forgotten all about him! But it didn't matter, he probably need a nap anyway.

Don did not back away as the wolf Pokémon lifted hr head. Instead he took a step into the barn, set down the super potion, and rolled it toward her. Then he sat.
As the jigglyuff stopped singing Dr. Pretz called her back and cautiously crept toward the sleeping Pokémon. She turned her, examining the wound, and once she had done so she pursed ber lips. "It's not too bad," she said, pulling out pair of tweezers, some gauze, and a small specimen jar. "The bullet just lodged in the muscle. She's a lucky girl." She carefully removed the bloody bullet and dropped it into the specimen jar. "She'll be fine. No perminant damage... with this yellow mane she's got, you won't even see a scar." She poured some disinfectant onto a peice of gauze, cleaned the wound, and the sat back. "There's not even a real need for stitches, given the circumstances... as long as she stays still it should heal up on its own." She stroked the umreon-flareon's nead and then turned to Ellie as she gathered up her supplies again.

Brook's eyes calmed as she watched him roll the potion toward her. She stared at it, unblinking, before her eyes darted back swiftly to Don. For a moment, she almost looked grateful as she picked up the potion and looked it over. She didn't have opposable thumbs, but she'd figure out a way...
She noticed the little lever under the spray gun, and gently took it in her jowls. She leaned toward Chris' wounds, bottle in mouth and put slightly more pressure onto the potion bottle to squirt the mist onto her wounds. Her heart thumped with relief as the Houndour's wounds disappeared before her very eyes.
Eleanor watched, sitting on her knees with Angelo snoring away peacefully on her lap. She'd have to tell him to make sure Vivian didn't move too much when he woke up. She stroked his head as she watched the doctor do her work, blinking curious blue eyes.
As soon as the vet was finished, she gently laid her Umbreon on the floor and gratefully shook Dr. Pretz' hand. "You have no idea how grateful I am," she nodded, eyes wide as she eagerly shaked hands with the slender woman. "Note-- Eli will be glad to hear she's okay," she murmured, her eyes becoming misty as she recalled both him and his Pokémon, mercilessly shot at by Giovanni and his Persian. She mentally tried to wipe it away, though. She didn't want to remember terrible things like that.

As the potion began to take affect Donetello slowly padded forward and sat beside his daughter and girlfriend. He waz relieved to see that the Mightyena was calming down, but not cure that she was still not willing to rip him a new one. He was prepared for whatever she would do now.
Dr. Pretz smiled at her sweetly as she suook her hand. "It's no trouble at all, honey. Here." She released the girl's hand and pulled a business card from her pocket. "Call me if you have any problems with anyone," she said, handing the blonde the business card.

The Mightyena, fully aware of Don's presense, let out a long, drawling sigh. "It sucks, doesn't it?" she frowned, her eyes dull. "I know how she's going to feel when she wakes up. Defeated. She's never been pushed around like she was today... even if it did end up being a close match, she knows she fell first. Even if we tell her that Judis fell just moments after, she's not going to believe us, and think that we're just trying to make her feel better," she muttered, her eyes drifting towards the darkness of the back of the barn. "I know, because it happened to me when I was just a pup in the pack, back with Chase and Erol. There was this really strong pup named Brutus... and I challenged him to a fight. I gave it all I got, but he won. That was the first time I ever lost." She suddenly droned out, remembering the other pieces of the story that she didn't care to speak out loud. Her eyes were half-lidded and her ears tilted back slowly. Looking back to her daughter, she pressed her cold, black nose into the back of her neck gently. "At least she had her mother cheering for her on the sidelines," she murmured, though there was a hidden taunt in her sentence as she mentioned 'mother'. Suddenly, looking back up at the Houndoom, her eyes narrowed back into their usual, unapproachable glare. "I want my brother. Get Chase!"
Ellie accepted the card gladly. "Thank you, again, very much, doctor! Here..." she put the card away, taking out a check and writing 600 poke on it. With her dad being a Pokémon Trainer and all, she didn't really have to worry about getting income. Plus, after Vivian had bitten her like that... She had to repay her some how. She wrote her signature and handed it to the woman, eyes sparkling with gratitude.

((LOL What did Don get himself into...)) Don's eyes softened as she spoke of her childhood; he could relate, except it took him much, much longer to lose a battle. Even to this day it was still one of the most shameful moments of his life, and pretty damn humbling.
He started as Brook suddenly snapped back to her old self. "Where is he?" He sighed. He had no desire to become the bitch of this relationship, but he also hated to piss Pokémon off. Unless it was funny. With Brook however, it was not funny. Just a headache. So he cooperated.
She accepted the check graciously. "Well, thank you... It was nice to meet you, despite the unpleasant circumstances. Take care, honey. Don't hesitate to call me if you need me again."

Brook snorted. "Beats me. But I need him! Or would you rather go get Erol?" she grunted, narrowing her eyes challengingly.
Ellie scratched the back of her neck earnestly. "Yeah, sorry about that. It was a pleasure meeting you too," the blonde smiled, looking over her shoulder briefly at the flareon-umbreon hybrid. "Excuse me for a second," she said to the doctor, grabbing a few blankets and pillows from the other couch and spreading them out of the floor. With a heave and a groan, she lifted up Vivian and laid her down gently on the comforters, more easily picking up Angelo and laying her sleeping 'eon next to her, but a good distance away. She turned back to Dr. Pretz and smiled, courteously accompanying the doctor to the doorway.
((Seriously. xD Their relationship confuses me. Does Don actually like/love Brook, or does he just stick around for her daughter? Brook's like, borderlining everything, lmao))

Don narrowed his eyes back at her before turning and starting off to find the Mightyena. As he mused he wondered if she simply wanted to get rid of him. Regardless she had sent him on a task that he was sure would take him a while in a ranch this big.
((I imagine he doesn't really know either... Chris might be part of it but to Don Brook is that one person that you don't outwardly like but something about her just keeps drawing you back to her.))
The doctor started toward the doorway and witb a last goodbye she let herself out.
Note, who still had his head tilted back in a rediculous angle watched her leave from his spot on the couch. As she shut the door he blinkec in surprise. "Is Vivi hurt too?" He asked, shocked. Even when he was not high on morphine the idea bad somwhat formed in his mind that the -eon mutant was invincible. But he recognized a vet when he saw one. Even when he was trippin.

The Mightyena watched him go, brows furrowed. As soon as his black-and-ginger form disappeared through the large doors, though, the mother went back to warming her daughter. Half of her wanted Chris to wake up so she could make sure that she was okay, but the other half wanted her to stay asleep so she didn't have to deal with Chris' apprarant sadness for a while.
"Good-bye, Dr. Pretz, and thanks again for the help!" She called after the doc with a wave, shutting the door gently. She turned around, brows perked in interest at Note's voice. She grimaced at his innocence. Hadn't she told him?
"Yeah, the reason you got shot was when you were protecting her, even though she ended up getting shot, too, anyway," she frowned, her eyes glued to the floor as she walked back over to the chair. "Dr. Pretz put her to sleep -- err, I mean, there was no injection or anything, she told her Jigglypuff to sing, and she removed the bullet and put on, like... disinfectant or something... The bullet only punctured a muscle or something. The vet said she was very lucky," she explained, her blonde bangs hanging over her eyes for a few heartbeats.

Don started back to the feild where Chris and Judis had fought. That was the last place he had seen Chase so that was where he figured he could begin looking.
Though the majority of the toxic gas had dissipated the smell if it still lingered in the air. His nose wrinkled. There was no way he would be able to track his scent. He looked around, wondering if he simply had not gone far.
A long silence followed her explination, during which Note did jothing but stare at his friwnd blankly. Finally in a monotonous tone he said, "I really wish I couls remember this."

Chase laid down next to a tree, paws crossed with his head resting on them. He didn't know what to think of his niece. He loved her, of course, but she held such a strong resemblance to her father, Don, that it unnerved him.
The air was too peaceful to be thinking about things like that, though. The Mightyena dozed, Erol sleeping on the other side of the tree.
"Yeah..." Ellie responded lamely, plopping back down on the armchair with her elbow on the armrest and head in her hand. "But, you know, it doesn't really matter. We all made it. We even saved a bunch of Pokémon from the burning building. I think the only two that died were Giovanni and his stupid cat."
Even as she said it, her Pokémon-loving personality played true to her nature. Even with how evil he'd been, she was sad that the Persian had to go down like that.

As Don scanned the feild his eyes caught a hint of dark and light grey fur. He started toward it and a feeling of relief washed over him as he saw that it was in face his girlfriend's brother. Instead of speaking he cleared his throat to get the wo,f's attention.
With his uninjjred hand Note ran his hand down his face. "Ah." The morpjine's grip on his mind was not nearly as strong as it had been and he was starting to develope a slight fuzziness in his head, what would have been a headache without the powerful painkiller.

Chase lifted his head, startled by the grunt that seemed focused in his direction. The wolf opened his eyes, seeing his sister's 'mate' standing a few feet away. "Hm?" he mused simply, eyes dull and obviously not pleased with his presense.
From behind the tree, Erol revealed his face more out of curiousity than genuine interest. The wolf got up and padded next to Chase, his gaze level with the Houndoom's. "Don." he 'greeted', face unchanging.
Ellie sighed and leaned back on her chair, arms crossed. "So, uh... Note," she muttered, recalling her awkward scene before Dr. Pretz' arrival, which caused a whole new layer of nervousness to envelope her. "Can I... get you anything? Like, water? Or a sandwhich? Or extra blankets or something?" she inquired, twiddling with her thumbs innocently.
