Aspertia City is a small city situated in southwestern Unova. The settlement exists on Unova's western strip of land, and is surrounded by forest. The entrance to the city is through Route 19 to its north.

Aspertia City contains some prominent areas of interest such as the Aspertia Normal-type Gym, a lookout, and a Pokémon Center. It is a newly developed area containing modern buildings and houses.

P2 Laboratory is an abandoned, small research facility on an island in the southeastern part of Unova that was secretly built and used by Team Plasma for "unknown research".

Nuvema Town is a little rural town situated in the southeastern part of the Unova region. Professor Juniper's laboratory is located here. The town features a view of the ocean.

Accumula is a fast-growing town in the southeastern area of the Unova region. It offers great views thanks to its many hills, and is known for its small, dainty park in the center of its town square.

Striaton City is a city in southeastern Unova. The Dreamyard is to the east, Route 2 is to the south and Route 3 is to the northwest.

The eastern half of Striaton City houses buildings with unique architectural designs. The western part of the city houses a beautifully designed garden.

The Gym located in this city is unique, as the player has a choice between a Grass, Fire and Water-type based battle.

Wellspring Cave is a cave in Unova which lies north of Route 3. The underwater pool grew from rainwater soaking into the ground.

West of Striation City, Nacrene City has a peculiar cityscape, as it reuses its warehouses built about a century ago. It's a popular place for avant-garde artists and is usually the place where trends begin. Due to this, Nacrene City is called the "city of art". The once Normal-type Gym was refurbished into a library after the last Leader, Lenora, retired and the Gym was moved to Aspertia City.

Pinwheel Forest is a forest in Unova which lies between Nacrene City and Castelia City, at the east end of the Skyarrow Bridge. Rumination Field, home of the Legendary Pokémon Virizion, is located deep in the forest.

The Skyarrow Bridge is a long suspension bridge that connects the southeastern part of Unova via the Pinwheel Forest to Castelia City in central Unova. The bridge serves as a means of transportation into and out of Castelia City.

Castelia City is a large seaside city located in south central Unova. Unlike other cities, Castelia is a huge, sprawling metropolis, sporting many towering skyscrapers and other tall buildings. It is the heart of business and economy of the Unova region, as opposed to its sister city, Nimbasa City, which is the heart of leisure and entertainment. Most of its city streets are crowded with different people rushing around, trying to get to work, home, or other places, creating a hustle and bustle scene for city life. The city exists on the bottom of Unova's central peninsula, south of the desert and north of the sea, making for a perfect harbor city.

The city has only two possible entrances on foot, from Route 4, a harsh desert in the north, and from the Skyarrow Bridge, a large suspension bridge that connects the southern part of the eastern peninsula to the central peninsula and provides a scenic view of Castelia's vast skyline, which spans off in the east. There are several other ways to enter the city. Tourists and businessmen travel to Castelia City from other regions by boat and stop at Castelia's harbor side.

Castelia City is geographically the largest city in the Unova region and contains many structural elements that have not been seen in cities in other regions. The city's core is a central business district, with huge skyscrapers and other commercial buildings; a series of alleyways lead into this core, where smaller shops are set up among city traffic. The city's outskirts are bounded on all sides by harbor, where ships provide traffic to other regions in the Pokémon world.

Despite its economic encouragement, Castelia also offers a worldly aspect. The city is a melting pot, incorporating cultures and foods from other regions. From across the globe, artists also flock to Castelia to open their art galleries, offering a different sort of entertainment in comparison to Nimbasa City.

It also harbors the region's Bug-type Gym.

The Desert Resort is a large, barren desert. A sandstorm is always occurring. Like Route 4, the Desert Resort has deep sand rather than tall grass. There are many hills and valleys along its barren ground. In the center of the resort is one of the entrances to the Relic Castle. This entrance is guarded by statues, which are actually Darmanitan in their Zen Mode. They can be awoken with Rage Candy Bars, and will have the Zen Mode Ability. The other entrance to the Relic Castle is found on the far northeast of the resort. At the top of the resort, a hillside can be seen sliding into the ocean.

Nimbasa City is a city located in central Unova. There are three routes connecting to it: to the south of the city is Route 4 and the vast Desert Resort, to the west is Route 5, and to the east is Route 16. Nimbasa City is the most populous city in the Unova region and the second most populous in the Pokémon World, behind Kalos's Lumiose City. In contrast to Castelia City, which is the heart of business and economy in the region, Nimbasa serves as the heart of leisure and entertainment. Nimbasa City is well known for its grand-scale landmarks such as the Electric-type Gym, Musical Theater, Gear Station, Big Stadium and Small Court, Battle Institute, and the Rondez-View Ferris Wheel and amusement park.

Driftveil City is a major ocean port city in western Unova. It has strong wind currents popular with sailboaters. More importantly, its ports are used by freighters and fishing boats that import and export goods such as vegetables in and out of Unova. A large market offering some useful items occupies part of the city. Driftveil is typically subject to precipitation year-round. It's also home to the Ground-type Gym.

Chargestone Cave is a cave within the western half of the Unova region. It is connected to Route 6 at its southern exit, and Mistralton City in the north.

Chargestone Cave has a strong magnetic field that causes Magneton and Nosepass to evolve into Magnezone and Probopass, respectively, when leveled up here. This magnetism is also evident by the cave's puzzle: to get into the cave, one must push stone fragments blocking whichever passages so they are attracted by larger magnetic rocks, making it possible to continue.

Mistralton Cave is a cave located on Route 6 in the western half of the Unova region. It can be accessed by surfing from Route 6.

The Guidance Chamber, home of the Legendary Pokémon Cobalion, is located here.

Mistralton City is located in western Unova. It lies directly north of Chargestone Cave, and is geographically positioned between three mountain ranges. North of Mistralton City is Route 7 and the Celestial Tower, a prominent place of burial and mourning for deceased Pokémon in Unova. The city is famous for its airport which imports and exports cargo around the Unova region and beyond. The city is home to the Mistralton City Flying-type Gym.

As with most of the western side of Unova, Mistralton City has a cool climate and is subject to rain during the spring, summer, and autumn. Sometimes during winter, it snows and hails.

Located in central western Unova, the Celestial Tower is a tall tower with three inner floors connected by spiral staircases. Like certain buildings in other regions, it is a resting place for deceased Pokémon. At the top of the tower is a bell, which mourners can ring in remembrance of their lost Pokémon. The bell's sound is said to reflect the nature of the one who rang it.

Twist Mountain is in the Unova region to the north of Route 7 and its eastern terminus is in Icirrus City.

The mountain bears a resemblance to a mine and has a complex network of caves. The mountain becomes filled with snow in winter, providing easier travel to different areas but also blocking off some tunnels; from inside, these tunnels are blocked off by a traffic cone. There is also a Vending Machine.

The Ice Rock is located in the lowest floor of the mountain, accessible from the central construction site. If an Eevee is leveled up on this floor, it will evolve into Glaceon.

It is also a popular digging site for fossils.

Icirrus City is a city located in northwestern Unova. It is connected to Twist Mountain to the west, and Route 8 to the east. To the north of Icirrus City lies Dragonspiral Tower.

The majority of Icirrus City's buildings are located on high ground, due to the surrounding area being in a wet climate and as such having large puddles containing wild Pokémon. Windmills can also be seen towards the south end of the city. The Ice-type Gym can be found here.

Opelucid City is a city in the northern and central area of the Unova region. The look of Opelucid City meshes a technological and natural appearance, creating a sort of balance between nature and Man. A gothic, Dragon-type Gym can be found in the northwestern part of the city.

Lacunosa Town is a town in the northeastern area of the Unova region. To the west of Lacunosa Town is Route 12 and to the east is Route 13. To the northeast of Lacunosa Town lies the Giant Chasm, which is a location that has affected the residents of the town greatly for many years.

A long time ago, it is said that a large meteor came from the sky containing a terrifying monster. It was said that at night the monster would appear in the town along with the cold winds and take away humans and Pokémon to eat them. Eventually, the residents of the town surrounded Lacunosa Town in a wall to keep the monster out and a rule was then set on the town that forbade anyone from leaving at night and encouraged people to stay in their homes. Even though Lacunosa residents claim to no longer believe this old story, they still stay inside of their houses at night and the walls remain standing to this day.

Undella is a town in the east of the Unova region. What it really is, however, is a summer retreat with a beach full of people who enjoy summer vacations. Outside of summer, this town has very few people and almost looks deserted; the villas are all empty. However, during summer, the villas in the town are all occupied by vacationists.

Black City is a modern city of ongoing development that draws people to it, located in the eastern part of the Unova region. Its buildings tower, lined with an illuminating blue glow. It highly contrasts White Forest, a settlement directly southeast.

Anville Town is situated in the far northwestern part of the Unova region, far from all other establishments. It is accessed only by riding the Battle Subway's Anville line (shown brown on the subway map) from Gear Station in Nimbasa City. It's a city with a rail yard where trains park for an overhaul.

Floccesy Town is situated in the southwestern part of the Unova region. It is home to former Champion Alder. The town used to be a grassy meadow, and was populated by people in search of Pokémon. The two eventually made homes, and started living together. The town is famous for a clock tower that tells of the town's beginnings.

Virbank City is a city in southwestern Unova. It is shown to be a port city with many hangars, docks and waterways. In the northeastern part of the city, there is graffiti painted on the wall that resembles Koffing's skull and crossbones mark. The city is often covered by clouds and smoke, with very active residents. The region's Poison-type Gym is found here.

Lentimas Town is situated in the eastern part of the Unova region. It is first accessible via plane from Mistralton City. The town boasts of porcelain and pottery made from volcanic clay.
