Chris flattened her ears defensively, curling her lip back slightly in a growl. When Austin approached, her short ears perked and she watched the two brother-like Pokémon "wrestle". "[Don't be a dick,]" she said in defense of her best friend, fur on her neck bristling slightly.

"[Why don't you mind your own business, princess?]" Chance growled, not even turning to look at her.
Austin looked between the two of them and smiled awkwardly. "[It's okay, Chris, I'm fine.]"
Chance ruffled Austin's head affectionately."[I'm going to have to show you some moves. You might even have a chance of being evenly matched against me with the type advantage.]"
"[You think so?]" Austin replied, a little dubious.
"[...Well, no, but it's something nice to think about, right?]"
Austin snorted and playfully swatted his friend's paw away.

Chris did not like being called "princess". The headstrong canine felt a growl rumble in her throat. "[I know you're fine,]" she grumbled, slithering up and butting her head under Austin's chin, glaring at Chance while she did so. Chris was all for sarcasm and her ego was tended to by her ability as a fighter, but she didn't like the Espeon putting himself on a pedestal and degrading her friend like that. Austin... well, Austin was her only friend. He had been since birth, really, despite their opposite attitudes. And she never liked Chance much. He was too much like her.

Unimpressed by the hybrid's possessive show, Chance rolled his eyes at her and looked around. "Hey, Vivian? We can go anywhere now, right? What's worth going around here?"
Instead of answering herself, she looked to Donetello, who surveyed the area thoughtfully. "From here you can get anywhere," he explained. "If you go that way you will reach the park. That way leads to the consumer goods where it's easy top find good food. That way is a stadium. The humans prefer you're with your trainer to go there but being on your own isn't a deal breaker if you college the right people..."
"What's over there?" Austin asked, pointing down one of the streets that Donatello had not addressed yet.
"That's... Not worth your time," he replied with a frown. The last thing he wanted was another escapade through Ghettoville, especially with the kids. Unimpressed by the hybrid's possessive show, Chance rolled his eyes at her and looked around. """Her,

Chris blinked and looked away when Chance rolled his eyes. Whatever. She looked back at her dad when he started to explain things, trying to pay attention but naturally droning the older Pokémon out. Her attention peaked when she mentioned some place that wasn't worth her time, since that meant that it totally was.
"[Okay, let's get out of here, then.]" She directed it at Austin, but there was no escaping Chance either, was there?

Chance's curiosity was just as piqued as Chris's. He looked down the street bemusedly, at a loss as to what would be so bad about it that Donatello wouldn't want them down there. It was too tantalizing to pass up.
"[Where do you want to go, Chris?]" Austin asked his friend, taking a step away from Chance to walk toward her. Chance's head cocked toward the younger eeveelution and then his gaze shifted to Chris. His mind was made up that they would end up down that street that wasn't worth their time, but he figured he might as well play along with whatever Chris had in mind. Hell, maybe it was the same thing. And if it wasn't, it wouldn't be too hard to convince Austin to take a stroll down that other street later.

Chris narrowed her eyes and nodded. "[I'm thinking the stadium,]" she said to the boys, a devious air about her. It was the pathway that Don had pointed out closest to that little forbidden trail he warned them to stay away from. Which, of course, Chris wanted to explore. No meant yes and danger meant awesome -- something she had grown up to.
And it was totally in character, the stadium. 2/3 of the trio were avid battlers, so naturally that was where they would go, correct? And maybe they would actually stop by and participate. They had the whole day.

"" Austin said with a smile. "[Okay. But maybe we could stop in the park afterwards?]"
Chance bowed and stretched. The stadium didn't sound like a bad start to the day. But he wanted some insurance that they could check out that other street. He started to say something, but as he did his eyes and orb flashed, and he saw a vision that gave him the insurance he needed.
Austin was looking at him, waiting for him to speak. "[What?]"
With a satisfied smirk he shook his head. "[Nevermind.]" Sometimes he loved being a psychic type.

Chris grinned at the younger 'mon, and nodded. "[Sure, sure,]" she promised, swishing her tail. "[Whatever helps you sleep at night.]" They would need to stop by there as well if her plan was to drag him to that path her dad didn't want her going down.
She noticed Chance acting a little strange but dismissed it. He was just weird. Without another word, she passed her parents and nuzzled their necks before beginning to trot off in the direction of the stadium.

Chance and Austin hurried after her. "[We're going to the stadium,]" Chance announced as he passed Vivian and Angelo. "[And then some other places.]"

"[Okay,]" Angelo acknowledged the Espeon, nodding his head curtly. The two used to not get on so hot, but months of living together had mended it a bit. "[See you at the condo at six,]" he called after, watching with alert, fatherly eyes as Austin and his friends mingled into the Relebrity crowd.
Chris's trot was brisk. She did want to see this stadium perhaps, and going to the park was something they would do for Austin eventually, but she couldn't help the curiosity gnawing at her belly. Places that people didn't want explored were usually the places that needed some exploring.

As they headed down the street Austin worked to catch up to Chris. "[Chris, have you ever been here before?]" he asked. He knew that some in the party had, but he wasn't sure which ones had been.

"[No,]" the canine answer, keeping her line of sight ahead of her. She had gotten pretty tall and lean as of late, but she still had to dodge the legs and feet of humans and bigger Pokémon. "[Why?]" she asked, but already assumed he just asked to ask.

"" He looked over his shoulder at his friend, who was only a few paces behind them.
"" Chance replied. "" He wish he could say otherwise. It would have been so satisfying to know more about this place than Chris. But he wasn't going to lead them around only to get lost and hurt. Vivian would kick his ass.

Chris listened to the boys conversing behind her, but paid minimal interest. She was more focused on dodging people and Pokémon and glancing behind her every few minutes to watch her parents and the other adult Pokémon fade into the throng. When she looked over her shoulder and could no longer find the distinct forms of the older 'mons, she took a sharp right and a toothy, sly grin grew over her ginger muzzle.
