Zap once again let out a happy bark, the climax he'd predicted coming in the nick of time with a barrage of bass, procussion and fluxuations of multiple sounds, forming into one intense and high-energy soundwave, as he called out, "[ Try n' keep up!]", instantaneously at the other side of the clearing, trailing a long arc of lightning as he passed OVER the small pool of water and into the forest. His whole body glimmering gold as his fur activley pulsed with electricity, illuminating the woods around him, all the while he laughed and barked with glee.

Lemondrop's eyes widened as he took off like a lightning bolt, and she stared blankly after him as he disappeared in a dazzling array of sparks. "[Oh, hell no,]" she muttered, sitting down where she was. There was no way she could even try to keep up with him at that speed, so she just sat down and watched him, her eyes following the sparks he let off as he sped through the forest.
Suddenly a dark shape trotted out into Zap's path. It was a black, solid Pokémon, with long legs and a lean muscular body. Two long horns curved from its skull and around, and as it noticed Zap it turned and stiffened, its narrow red eyes widening in surprise, but there was no time for it to jump out of the way.

Zap flashed a smile, seeing the larger Pokémon in his path, briefly barking, "[Heads up!]" as he skittered around him, the trail of lightning behind him circling around the being, just scat inches with what proved to be expert skills at such a high speed. He continued his dash, side-stepping trees and hopping over the occasional bug Pokémon with more than ease, flying aboout and lighting up the woods like a illumise at the speed of a rapidash... if the rapidash had a rocket on its back. He whizzed through the clearing, coming just barely to knocking to poor pikachu over, calling out again as he was gone as soon as he had come, "[C'mon!!]" now lapping the perimeter of the clearing again and again.

Lemondrop watched the Jolteon, stupefied, but then she huffed, ran after him, and waited until he ran by. She took a flying leaf and landed on his side. With little effort she climbed onto his back and grabbed a hold of his spiky mane. Once she was on, she could hold onto nearly anything... It was just a matter of getting there. "[Okay, now go!]" she called over the sound of the buzzing electricity, which was not only bouncing off his fur but now leaping off her cheeks and fur as well.

Zap's footwork, even as he dashed around and about, still somehow unexplainably kept their tempo perfectly with the beat of the music. Everything in sight a blur, which led to further question how he could weave so easily through all the hazards of the forest. His smile grew wider, baring his teeth with joyous glee as he more than likely misheard the small thing, "[Go? Faster, faster, FASTER!!!]" his speed increasing three-fold, wind blowing about the two like a wind tunnel, slicking his spiked fur back, revealing his fitness with each stride in the run. Every step was expertly place, and each hazard seemingly calculated before it was even in view... If one could have time TO see it.

Lemondrop's tiny hands gripped the thick course furs of his back tightly, and she narrowed her eyes, which were streaming with tears, as she flattened against him to resist the air. Her heart was racing, and she could hardly breathe from the force of the wind in her face, but she could not remember the last time she had had this much fun.

Zap continued his race through the woods for some time, seeming to be an unstoppable force as his speed only increased, but suddenly his alien black eyes went wide, ears twitching as the song that had him so full of life began to slo every so slight. He gave a small frown, making a damn near 9o degree turn as he dashed towards the camp, the colors and figurs of the world slowly making themselves out as he said aloud "[Tsk... Run's over. Pit stop time!]" And before the pikachu could realise it, they were at the camp and moving at normal speed as he trotted his way over to his bowl, now full of food again, and Bount still sitting there, roasting marshmallows like he hadn't moved at all as the song switched over, now playing a medium between the ambience and speedcore, which provoked a groan from Zap, "[Aw, dubstep. Upbeat loves this, but it's so slow paced!]"
Meanwhile, up in the skies, Austrays used her focused keen glare to eye about, having entertained herself by watching the glorious lightshow XZap had put of, which in turn made watching the forest all the easier, allowing nothing to hide from her sight. Though this in turn is what had her so focused, the black Pokémon Zap had easily, and expectedly, whizzed past, was too close for her comfort. She began circling overhead, just over a cloud to conceal herself, though the cloud didn't disturb her watchful eye, making out every detail of the strange new being.

The sudden turn that he took nearly gave Lemondrop whiplash. She shook her head as he slowed and pulled herself up slightly, though she kept a strong hold on his mane. "]What, already? Aww...]" At his second comment she cocked her head toward the music and listened. "[It's not that bad.]"
The dark figure, a tall lean Houndoom, stood, stunned, for nearly a minute after Zap had dashed away. Then he slowly took a step back and eyed the trail of sparks he had left until they had dimmed. He sniffed the air for a minute, thoughtful, and then slowly followed the blazing, singed trail that the Jolteon had left, though he kept at a distance from it, wary that its creator may come back.

Zap gave a stetch of his neck before bowing his head to eat from the bowl, the other large dish labeled "Upbeat" still remained unfinished by the small one as well. Zap seemed more calm now, he was't wolfing down his food like he was earlier. He just simply enjoyed it this time, falling silent for a pause of what could only be guessed as rest while he ate.
Austrays narrowed her glare, this houndoom, it wasn't natural. Her and the others had been camped here for half a week, and houndooms, let alone houndor, weren't indigenous here. This sent her instincts in a tizzy, all she could think was to neutralize it before it became a threat. But she knew she was at a disadvantage. She was a steel type, and houndoom's are notorious for their flame attacks. But, she wasn't a normal Skarmory. She knew how to fight when she was at the short end. She tucked her wings, falling from her hideaway in the clode into a nosedive, for what seemed to be aimed directly at the black canine-esque creature. Her weight would put it in a crater, but she knew better. She couldn't properly gauge it's strength. Before it could realise she was there, she had dipped below the tree-line, her beak opening wide, letting out her shrill and deafening Screech attack, scant feet from the poor thing's ears, and whisking back up into the sky again as she unfurled her wings once more. She then circled about, waiting to see if it had understood her warning, or if it would pick a fight.

Lemondrop hopped off his neck as he lowered his head and hopped back into Upbeat's bowl. Her stride was wobbly at best; it was difficult to gain her balance long enough to make it to the bowl. She sat against the side and grabbed a piece of kibble, nibbling it happily.
The Houndoom let out a pained howl as he jumped sideways and stumbled, nearly falling off his feet at the sound of the call. He looked up, eyes wide in surprise, and when he saw the bird Pokémon circling overhead his eyes widened in surprise. He muttered a curse before taking a step back from the direction he had been going. His eyes remained fixed on the Skarmory as he retreated a couple steps, but then he stopped, not completely intimidated and reluctant to abandon his search.
Lemondrop flinched at the sound of the Screech attack. She looked over her shoulder where she could just barely make out the shape of the circling Skarmory in the distance. "[What's she doing?]" she muttered. "[Is she really still patrolling?]"

Zap in an instant, was turned around looking to Austrays in the distance, his his expression a mix of worry, fear, and caution. His ears seemed to twitch ravenously, though perked in the direction of the commotions, his only reaction was a mutter under his breath, barely able to be heard by the pikachu, "[This isn't good....]"
The sound of footsteps behind the two comfirmed the seriousness of the situation, Bount was standing... And walking towards Austrays. He reached into his pocket, pulling out what seemed to be his music player, and cut the song that was playing, immediatley switching to the ambience music fromearlier. And if that weren't shocking enough, he placed the player back into his pocket and reached to his headphones, pulling them from his ears and hanging them around his neck. The moment they came off his ears, the sound magnified by at least ten times. Anyone within an eigth of a mile could probably hear it, an dAustrays was just in that range. As he walked past the two, he sounded out a single name, "Zap." who was at his heels as he trotted along with him.
Austrays eyed the thing carefully. It was either strong, brave, or foolish. Could even be a mix of all three. Not many stay put after her screech. She dived again, this time keeping her distance, knowing she didn't have the element of surprise, as she fell, she yeeled out the single word as her beak opened, "[LEAVE!]" which was followed by another piercing Screech attack, this one louder than the last as she whipped back up to the sky again. She was wondering if this would be too much for her, but then her ears were craced with her favorite music... Ambience. Instantly she found a boost in her spirit, looking down to the Houndoom with a killer's gaze, waiting for it to either obey her or face the consequences.

Lemondrop's ears perked in surprise, and she grew tense as she watched the exchange. Then she hopped out of the bowl, caught up to Zap, and climbed on his back. "[What's going on?]"
The second Screech rocked the Houndoom nearly off his paws, but he stayed standing, gave the Skarmory a rueful glare, and turned, trotting at a nonchalant pace back the way he came. Though he did not want to pick a fight, he would not allow himself to be sent away running with his tail tucked between his legs. He knew he and the Skarmory were probably evenly matched... that is, they would be, if he could get in a few strong strikes. But she had already severely weakened his Defense, and he wasn't stupid.
Besides, he had other places to be anyway.
From somewhere deeper in the forest came the high-pitched, upbeat howl of another canine Pokémon, anxious and excited. The Houndoom lifted his head at the sign of the call and picked up his pace a little bit, casting a wary glance toward the Skarmory before doing so.

Bount continued to walk, though his pace seemed slightly hastened as skarmory flew about. How he knew where she was... It was anyone's guess, he hadn't even looked up, let alone pulled the brim of his hat from over his eyes. Zap was on his heels all the same, and he looked up briefly as the pickachu climbed atop him, only to lookf orward again with his answer, "[Austrays Screeched... Which means a threat...]"
Austrays was in no mood for games, but she was satisfied that the Houndoom knew better... Then she heard the other howl, immeadtley she whisked through the airwith a near impossible angle in her turn. The music flowing through her as she kept to the clouds, not wanting bto be seen as she approached the source fo the howl, but she knew the Houndoom was aware of her. She only wanted the drop on the newcomer. This was HER territory for the time. And she'd be damned is she let anyone close to her kin. Her eyes scanned the area; The howl was canine for sure. She spotted bug Pokémon, a few hootowls. But those weren't what she wanted, and then her eyes fell on the source of the howl. She took a moment to watch and see if it''s howl again, to clarify if she had the true target.

Lemondrop blinked. "[Oh...]" was all she said. Her gaze fized on the Skarmory again as she sped away at an impressive speed.
About two miles from where the Houndoom had been spotted, at the other end of the forest was a small camp set up. A tall blonde, about Bount's height, was leaning against a massive Arcanine with his arms crossed behind his head and and dark sunglasses covering his eyes. He appeared to be asleep, or nearly asleep, because he took no notice of the activity going on around him. His blonde hair fell against the lenses of the glasses, stopping just under where his ears began. He wore a bright red shirt and black jeans.
The camp fire, dangerously close to his feet, was ablaze with a strange black-purple flame that was quickly dying away to ash even as Austrays watched. Sitting on the other side were a shaggy Umberon and a long-haired, lean Espeon, who were tumbling across the ground in a scrimmage. Between them and the flames laid a strange mutant Eeveelution, with dark maroon fur. Her paws were black, and on her front paws she had long sharp metal claw extensions that even gleamed in the light from Austray's height. She had black Umberon markings that looked like they had been singed into her fur, and a black band covered her back end that nearly connected the rings on her flanks. Her dark yellow mane was tipped black, and there was a black ring on her fringe, which flopped into her eyes. On her left eye were three claw marks, a long-healed scar that gave her a battered, battle0-scarred look. As the two -eons, obviously a bit younger than her, tussled, she would swat at them as they came too close to the fire, making them jump back and scurry away from her before continuing their battle.
Nestled on the other side of the massive Arcanine was an abnormally small Ninetails with short sleak tails. The sleeping creature was curled in a tight ball beside the fire dog, who was dozing in and out of a light sleep as well. The remnants of a camp were all around them: There was a backpack, with a few scattered supplies nearby, and a partially rolled-up sleeping back beside the sleeping boy.

Austrays looked down to the arcanine, it had to be the howl, and the music was still in her ears, even though she was far away, her senses were more than keen. She liked nothing of what she saw. The Arcanine was huge, but a few screeches would cut it down to size. The ninetails was small. A dive bomb would leave it broken and pummeled in a crater. And the two obvious kittens were not worth her time. But the strange mutant unnerved her. It was something she hadn't seen before. But it resembled an Umbreon the most it would seem. There was no way to gauge the strength of an opponent she didn't know. It could be a fire type... Or it could not be. She knew risking this sort of thing was too much, but if Zap were there, no. Not Zap. She chuckled some under her breath, like a villain almost as a though came to mind, "[Upbeat....]" and with that she made a 180 degree turn in the air, as sharp as the last, rushing back towards the sweet sound of her sweet music, the couds as her camoflauge.
Bount kept trudging forward, they were in the woods now, and zap still at his side with a small pikachu bouncing on his back with his stride. As they walked, zap took a moment to admire his scorch marks in the ground as he walked, allowing himself a bit of pride as he chuckled, with a "[Not bad...]"
