Elliot stood by her side, his eyes shining excitedly. At his feet, Kimberly teetered excitedly, unable to stay still. "[Daddy, you'll tell me what it looks like, right?]" she whispered, tilting her head up and nearly falling over as she did so.
"[Of course, my sweet,]" he sang, putting his clawed hand on her head to steady her. She trilled excitedly and grabbed one of his claws to steady herself.
Austin bounded into the barn, taking a seat near the back; he was neither small enough, not did he consider himself of high enough importance, to try and get closer, and he stood on his hind legs to try and peer over the crowd. Chance rolled his eyes and smirked a bit as he sat next to him. His interest was less, but he also had an easier time seeing than his companion.

Chris noticed from the corner of her eye Austin trying to peer past Pokémon to get a good look. Chris was a good size for her age and her impurity of species, but figured she wanted to get a better look too than just glaring between Tormund and Zeus' flanks.
"[Psst,]" she hissed at him, trying not to get Chance's attention. She didn't know him, and she didn't like that eye roll she caught. Reminded her too much of herself. She nodded her head toward an organized pile of crates, which she noiselessly leaped onto. She laid down at the top and watched as the shell of the egg began to peel off.
Delilah's purple eyes widened as piece by piece, the egg fell apart. A quiet 'mew' sounded out and two, round teal eyes popped open. "[It's... I... I've never seen this kind of Pokémon before,]" she murmured, but there was no fear or confusion on her face. She pressed her muzzle against the soft kitten-like Pokémon and a loud purr rumbled from her throat. "[Oh, he's precious,]" she squealed, and few coos of affection sounded from the cubs and ladies in the crowd.

Chance's ears pivoted toward the canine Pokémon before his head turned. He blinked, and, after a momentary glance at the Espeon next to him, he slinked after her. He climbed the crates and gave her a thankful smile as he settled down next to her, his bushy tail wagging slightly.
Elliot's eyes softened even moreso, if that was even possible, and he leaned forward ad gently caressed his new child's cheek with a claw. "Absolutely perfect," he murmured. "Kimberly, it is a feline Pokémon, just like your mother."

Chris smiled at Austin as he settled down beside her. "[What do you think?]" she whispered to him, not taking her eyes off of the newborn. Some Pokémon, a little too excited, cheered and whistled, while others were obviously patiently waiting for alone time with either parent to personally congratulate them. Chris and her family weren't actually that close to the couple, being polar opposites and whatnot. But the hybrid still managed to spot out her mother in the crowd, along with her uncle Chase, and godfather, Erol.
Delilah started down at the purple kitten with nothing but love in her eyes. "[Elliot, dear,]" she murmured, lifting her gaze to her orange husband. "[Do you think... we could name him Ben? Benjamin? After my father?]" she inquired, small pink nose twitching. She turned toward her first adopted child, the Spinda they had rescued from the tower. "[Would you like to pet him, love? He's very soft.]"

"[Benjamin is a beautiful name,]" Elliot replied, smiling happily. "[The name of a true gentleman.]"
"[Can I?]" Kimberly squeaked softly, tottering forward in her usual unstable fashion. She stopped short and held out her little hand, not wanting to walk too far and stumble into her newborn brother. Elliot chuckled and gingerly nudged her forward, and then she teetered forward just a bit and stroked the kitten's head. "[He is,]" she cooed gingerly, her expression softening. "[He's so soft, Mother.]" She tottered for a moment, and then carefully sat down, showing more stability than she usually did to place herself before her baby brother. A delighted smile spread across her spotted face.

Meanwhile, back in the ranch, Ellie had sprawled herself across one of the sofas, flicking through the channels on the TV. She was happy to be home, especially back with Note and Emily, but she was bored. It sounded terrible since it'd been so long since she last saw the two, but there wasn't much to do at the Ranch. She had her little house and that was mostly it.
She sat up, rubbing her eye. "Anything either of you want to do?" she inquired.

Note was sitting on the couch at her feet, twirling a lanyard with a set of keys on it. "Well," he said slowly, musing, "The last time I was here, Vivian and I had just taken a bullet, and I was tripping on pain meds, so you'll have to forgive me for not remembering what there all is to do..."
Tunes made a face at her brother from where she was sitting on the other end of the couch. "You would bring that up."
"I would," he said, smirking to himself. "But, my point is that it's your house, Ellie, you're in charge."

Ellie shut her eyes and pinched the skin in between. "Shh, let's not talk about that," she groaned. Eleanor had never been more scared of losing anybody, or just plain ever that scared in her life, when Note took a bullet. "I mean, you didn't miss out on much, Hero," she teased lightly, shrugging. "There's not more to the ranch than what you see here."

Note smiled and leaned back, resting his head on the couch cushion and peering up at her with amiable teal eyes. "Sorry, didn't mean to hit a nerve," he said lightly.

Ellie looked into his teal eyes, lost for a bit. She pouted a bit. "Yeah, well... y'know," she huffed, crossing her arms. "I mean, kind of scary, seeing your friend get shot and possibly dying."
All the while she said that though, she couldn't take her eyes off of him. Her mind kept flashing back to when she and him were alone in the condominium, her arms wrapped around his neck, him brushing back a lock of her hair. She continued to pout, however, and desperately tried to distract herself.

Note's smile widened as he saw how captivated she was. "Come on... it was just in the shoulder... I was fine," he said in a smooth voice, his tone taking on a rhythm like a lullaby.
Tunes raised a brow, and with an incredulous smirk she shook her head, rose, and left the room without a word. There was no use sticking around; she had been around her brother enough to know that at this point, she could be on fire and he would still be the focal point in the room. And that was just fine with her; she just didn't want to sit around and watch him hypnotize any more girls.

"Still kind'a just saw a gun fire, that bullet lodge into your chest, and you fall to the floor. I'm lucky I don't need therapy," she grunted, brows furrowing. She noticed Tunes get up and leave the room with a smirk on her face, and she was about to call her, but thought otherwise. Wherever she was going, it was probably more entertaining, anyway. The blondie could hear the people on TV buzzing in the background, but didn't pay any attention to them. She did notice how smooth Note was making his voice. He certainly changed a lot since they met, but she'd play along. She moved her face closer to his once Tunes was out of the room and half-lidded her eyes. "That was so brave of you though," she cooed, close to his ear. She reached over and wrapped her hand on his shoulder, giving it a squeeze. "It healed well."

Note's eyes took on a new shine as Ellie started reciprocating his attention. He turned around to face her and rested his chin on the cushion; his head tilted to the side as he looked into her eyes. They were beautiful. He had never really been able to appreciate them before, when he was little and couldn't have talked to a normal person let alone a pretty girl. But now, when he was brave enough to really look his friend in the eyes...
"You couldn't expect a bullet to keep me down for long," he said nonchalantly. "I had to keep up with Vivian... and if it would have weight on your mind heavy, I'd have to get better for you..."

"How sweet," she smiled, but it actually meant a lot to her, not just the Ellie playing along. She ran her finger under his chin and said, "Such a cutie." She turned on her stomach and rested her chin on the cushion near his face, her lips almost touching his nose.

It was all Note could do to keep kissing her right there, but he knew what she was doing. This was his game. He wasn't going to let her win. As much as he really wanted to, but his pride would not let him.
"Look who's one to talk," he practically sang, lifting a hand and delicately brushing her hair out of her face. His traced her hairline, his middle finger barely making contact with her skin as he followed her jawline to her chin. "You were always beyond gorgeous." His thumb lightly caressed her cheek, only touching the skin slightly more than his finger had done. "You've never had to try."
