Ellie flew through the sky, holding on tightly to her Pidgeot as they touched the clouds. She had received a letter only that morning when an old, old friend of her got in touch with her again. She'd visited her a few months ago when her friend, Danny, had specifically bred a purebred Eevee for her team. Now she was looking to see how Ciara had grown and Ellie was excited to show her.
She had brought along Angelo for the occasion since when he was just an Eevee, she'd bring him to the ranch and hang out with all the other Eevees and have a blast. She hadn't told the dark type where she was going, and the Umbreon was a little wary of leaving his mate and son, but she knew it would be good for the grumpy young Pokémon to reconnect with some childhood friends.
Melissa, her bird Pokémon, squawked as the ranch appeared up ahead and among the grass, Ellie saw shades of purple/pink, black, gold, red, blue, green, white, and brown.
"Alright girl, we're landing," she said as she pet the bird's head and the two descended toward the grass field, in front of Danny's house. Once her feet were planted firmly on the ground, she turned back to her Pidgeot and smiled. "Feel free to fly around, Pidge, but when I call you, you gotta come back, alright?"
When the Pidgeot cooed and flew off, Ellie turned heel and headed toward the door, knocking on it and grinned.

Danielle, who had been making a salad, jumped a bit as she heard the door. She smiled brightly and hurried to it. She opened the door and threw herself in her friend's arms. "Ellie! It's been so long!!" She quickly invited her in and then moved back to the counter, continuing her cooking.
She turned to her after a few seconds and wiped her hands on her apron. "So, how are you?" Her question was bright and filled with happiness. It had been so long since she had actually talked with anyone, she was glad that it was Ellie, of all people.
Moon poked her head in the room, the Mystic Water charm hanging from her neck. She curiously looked over to Ellie but kept a distant face. She walked up to Danny and sat by her side.

Ellie stepped inside the house, a wild grin on her face. "Hey, Dani," she greeted, hurrying after her friend and closing the door. After the brunette wiped her hands, Ellie threw her arms around her and embraced her in a hug. "Yeah, way too long. But, I brought Ciara!" she agreed to Dani's statement about the length of which the two last saw each other, reaching for the pouch around her waist to pull out the Jolteon's Pokéball. "I'll wait 'til we get outside to release her, though."
The 18 year old crossed her arms and her smile grew. There was so much they had to catch up on. "Well, I don't know when to start!" she giggled. It felt like it had been decades since they last saw each other! From the corner of her eye, Ellie caught a medium-sized, blue Pokémon creep into the room. "That must be Moon," she said, more as a statement than a question.
