"It is pretty nice," Tunes replied, leaning against the couch and scratching Firecracker's long yellow and blue snout. "We just got it though; haven't really had a chance to enjoy it. But I love this place. I might never leave."
One of the bedroom doors creaked open a tad, and Chance, now a noticeable bit bigger, trotted to the couch, jumped onto the arm, and sat in front of Tunes as if he expected something. Tunes made a face at him and petted his head. His long tail swished and he pressed his head against her hand.
Note smiled down at her and lightly wrapped one arm around his waist as she hugged him, and as she released him and ran ahead he slowed and grinned, taking a moment to look around.
The sidewalks, which were wider here, were lined with street performers, doing everything from magic tricks to break dancing to singing. Some were performing with Pokémon while others were doing tricks that looked impossible without Pokémon. Spectaters walked through the streets, forming crowds around the more attractive acts and whooping, cheering, and tossing money at performers. However, compared to some days he had come, it was not a crowded day; no acts had spilled into the streets yet, and the performers were not even crowded. Note hurried after Ellie.

"Do you have any refreshments?" Milo asked sweetly, looking towards the kitchen. The walk here had been exhausting, and seeing as they arrived late, there was no time to stop at one of the many stores around Relebrity Town for a drink or snack. Ellie had probably re-hydrated herself on Note's saliva, so all that was left was him and his brother.
Zane looked at the Manectric, blinking. "That's a really cool Pokémon. I'm not really familiar with any other Pokémon other than those originally from Kantō and Johto," the older twin admitted, his arms sprawled out on the back of the couch.
Ellie wandered around, looking at the performers. There was a trainer who was conducting a Pokémon orchestra with an Exploud, Chimecho, and three dancing Roselia. She paused to watch for a moment before three acrobats standing on each others heads and plucking at their guitars. She quickly whirled around to look at Note who had hurried after her. "Look!" she squealed like a child, pointing to the trio.

Tunes turned and started for the fridge. She looked back at the Manectric with a gleam in her eye. "You don't remember Firecracker? She was small and green the last time you saw her," she replied as she pulled the fridge open. "She is from Hoenn. Do you guys like Cola?"
Chance, insulted at being abandoned on the arm of the couch, huffed, hopped down, and disappeared back into the bedroom.
Note laughed a bit in amusement at her excitement before looking up at the performers. A wide grin played across his face as he watched the guitarists. "Wonder if Em could do that?" he joked.

"Oh, yeah, I remember," Zane grinned, reaching over and petting the canine's back. "Hey, girl," he murmured to the Pokémon, leaning to scratch her under her neck, which most Pokémon he knew enjoyed. Hopefully if she didn't like it, she wouldn't shock him like the snotty Lemondrop... Wait. "Hey, Em..." he began, looking at the empty pocket on her vest. "Where's Lemondrop, anyway?"
Ellie shrugged. "I dunno. She's your sister. I think you should be able to answer that," she teased, sticking her tongue out at him.

Firecracker's short tail wiggled happily and she leaned against his hand as he scratched her, thoroughly enjoying it.
"Mm?" The blonde girl said, pulling two soda bottles out of the fridge. She looked back down as the question registered. "Oh. Dead. It's a long story." She walked around the back of the couch and offered a bottle to each of them. "We'd better go. At this point there's no chance of us beating the others there."
Note chuckled as he looked back at the performers. "She can't stand on her head. Jeez, where are they anyway?" He looked around, wondering if they had missed them walk by.

Zane grinned as Firecracker rubbed her head against his hand as he continued to scratched her, but his hand stopped quickly when he heard what Tunes had to say. He only stared at her with large, and blatantly surprised, olive green eyes.
Milo's face was a clear reflection of his brothers. "Oh Arceus, Emily, I'm so sorry," Milo whispered, only subconsciously holding onto the Cola that was handed to him.
Seeing that she didn't want to continue the topic, both boys just attempted to continue along and nod as they headed towards the door.
Ellie shrugged. "They better not be lost," she huffed, looking behind them as if the trio would appear.

Tunes shook her head. "It's okay. It's not a big deal anymore." She looked up at the Manectric as she grabbed her guitar and started for the door. "You wanna come, Fire?"
The blue dog Pokémon lifted her head, huffed, and turned away again, uninterested. With a slight shrug Tunes turned and started out the door. "Suit yourself." She let the boys out and then closed and locked the door.
As the door clicked closed her mind began working. Now everything was going to be awkward. There had to be something they could talk about that would make this less awkward. She had never wanted to make things awkward, oh, no...
Note put his arm lightly around Ellie's shoulder. "They're not lost," he reassured her. "They're probably just sidetracked. Or Em doesn't know where her guitar is. Don't worry."

Ellie leaned against him as he wrapped his arm around her shoulder. "They better not be lost, or I'll beat your ass," she teased, brushing the hair out of her eyes.
Milo walked in silence, continuing to look around the busy environment of the town. All the while, both were thinking of some way to break the ice. Had Zane's observations saddened her? She didn't look too sad. If anything, she looked a tad bit frustrated. Had he pissed her off for bringing it up? Zane bit his lip, but hid the gesture under his large white scarf.

"Sounds like a deal to me," Note replied with a smile.
Tunes was keenly aware of the awkwardness around them; it was so thick that it was almost a tangible substance that one could choke on. She simply could not allow this to continue.
"Do either of you play any instruments?" she asked at last, holding her guitar in front of her. "I don't know, it seems like something you would learn. Especially you, Milo."

Both were relieved with the change of subject, though Zane really had no response. He knew this was his brother's turn to speak. "I... uh, well," the orange-clad twin began, rubbing his fingers together. "I... I like to sing... to myself," he quickly added. Natural shyness held him back from belting out to the world and both his brother and sister knew this. It was really only Ellie who bugged him about it, having heard him sing to himself before when she was passing by his room, encouraging him to join some singing program to put all those "talentless bitches through the floor", as she phrased it.
Ellie narrowed her eyes as an orange, green, and red trio made its way out from the blur of the cloud. "I think that's them," she notified the tall male, pointing towards them.

Tunes looked back at him, her eyebrows raising interestedly. "Yeah? I'd like to year you sometime," she said sweetly.
Note turned, grinning energetically as he saw his sister and the twins. He took Ellie by the hand and started through the crowd, weaving in and out of people to make his way toward them.

"Sorry to disappoint you, but Milo doesn't sing for anyone but himself. Selfish little son of a--" Zane began, but got cut off as he saw Ellie pointing and the duo maneuvering towards them. "There they are," Zane nudged Milo, who had hidden his face in his handkerchief.
Ellie blinked, taken by surprise as the blond grabbed her hand and began to escort her towards their siblings.

Tunes pouted. "Aww, but Milo..."
She trailed off as Note approached her. He held his hands out, and her brow furrowed, but after a moment she offered him the guitar. He took it from her, slung it over his shoulder, and then picked her up around the knees and threw her over his shoulder. Tunes let out a startled shriek as he happily began hauling her away. "Eli! Let go! Let me go, oh Arceus!" she cried, laughing too hard to sound threatening.
Note made no indication of hearing her as he carried her through the streets. Finally Tunes just gave up, sighed, and went limp. She lifted her head a tad to make sure the Surges were still following her, and she smiled bashfully. "Hi..."

Ellie watched as Note began to haul away his little sister. "Oh, Arceus... Guys I think we're witnesses to a kidnapping," she grinned. Zane stared after Note, his brows twitching. What... The orange-clad twin, beside his dumbfounded brother, was the first out of the three to take steps following the Curtis'. He turned around and gestured for the other two to follow, both of which obeyed. By the time they caught up, Emily had given up the fight.

Note finally set Tunes down on the corner of the street where it was less busy. She was still in the middle of a giggle fit when he did and as she pushed ponytail out of her face Note gingerly placed the guitar case down in front of her, opened it up, and handed it to her. As she took it and put the strap around her neck she asked, "What are we playing?"
"Mmm," Note mumbled, putting one hand on his hip and tapping his chin. "I don't know. Play something. I'll figure it out."
She laughed again and nodded, and as she slid to the ground cross-legged in front of the guitar case she began to strum. After a couple warm-up strums she had a rhythm going. Note's eyes sparkled as he recognized the song. He stood behind her, took a breath, and began to sing, in a voice a bit lower than the original,
Well you've done done me and you bet I felt it I tried to be chill but you're so hot that I melted I fell right through the cracks and now I'm trying to get back Before the cool done run out I'll be giving it my bestest Nothing's going to stop me but divine intervention I reckon it's again my turn to win some or learn some
I won't hesitate no more, no more It cannot wait, I'm yours~
