Tunes came to the girl's side, biting her lip as she watched her in her fit of coughs. "How tightly do they have the city on lockdown? Maybe one of our Pokémon can sneak out, they're small." She paused, and then pulled out a Pokéball, looking at it uncertainly. "I have a pidgey. Maybe he could deliver a message?"

Once her coughs subsided, she took a moment to think about it. "That might be a good idea. I haven't been able to send out any Pokémon because my Skarmory would be sure to attract some attention if she tried to make a run for it," she mused, her glazed eyes staring out into nothingness. "If you're willing to risk it... it may be our only hope."

"Aviator is fast," Tunes assured her, smiling weakly as she released the pidgey from his Pokéball. The bird shook his head and looked around curiously, before turning to his trainer.
"I have an idea," Tunes said, going to her bag and pulling out a piece of paper and a pen. She started writing. "I'll write Note! His Pokémon are really strong. Maybe he can think of something!"

Ellie felt an old, forgotten, hollow feeling return to her chest. "S-Sure! I couldn't think of anyone better than--" she stopped, covering her mouth with her hand to prevent herself from spraying coughing germs all over the other Trainer. Note was sure to respond with his sister in danger -- would he still have come if it had just been Ellie? She inwardly shook her head. This was no time to be thinking about stupid, silly things like that.

"I wrote it in code," Tunes told her companion, "so that even if it does get caught they won't know who wrote it or who it's for." She smiled, showing Ellie the piece of paper. The writing on it was all strange symbols or squiggles. She laughed nervously. "I just hope he remembers it, we came up with this code when we were kids..."
She wrapped it up and handed it to the Pidgey, who tilted his head to one side before taking it in his beak. "Find Note," she told the bird slowly. "Understand, Aviator? Note. Brother."
The bird stared at her hard, and then dipped his head and flapped his wings, trilling enthusiastically. He hopped on her shoulder, and she pet him sweetly.

Ellie smiled groggily. "That's really cool. I never did anything like that with my brothers. They thought I was an icky girl," she broke off into a raspy laugh. She thought fondly of her younger, twin brothers, Matthias and Oliver. How were they doing? They were bound to get their Pokémon by their next birthday... The thought chilled her. I must be getting old. She watched as the note was handed to the Pidgey and he hopped on her shoulder, cooing. "That's a sweet bird you got there. Once I'm better, it'd be cool if I could introduce you to my Pokémon... you know, other than Angelo, Delilah, Brook, and Chris."

"We used to do it to bother our parents," she giggle,d thinking fondly of the summers they spent convincing their parents that they were planning something diabolical, when in reality they were really just sending silly little notes back and forth.
"I'd like that," Tunes said, smiling at her. "Once all this is over, I'll properly introduce you to mine too." She stood, the Pidgey on her shoulder, and walked to the door. She opened it a crack, looking around before she stepped outside. The bird squawked, and she lightly touched his beak, putting her finger to her lips. "Shhh. Go." Aviator cooed, and then took off, flying into the sky. Tunes watched him go nervously, before stepping inside and closing the door.

"I hope.. err... Aviator was it? Will be alright," she breathed, shutting her eyes. Having them open for such a long time made them dry out and sting which as a very uncomfortable feeling. To her surprise, though, she felt Angelo stir beside her feet and drag the wet rag off her forehead once again. She waited a few moments, expecting what was to happen moments later. With a new, cold rag on her head, she felt sleep threatening her once again.
The Umbreon stared at her with concerned, red eyes. She would get better, right?

"He will be," Tunes murmured, as much to assure Ellie as herself. The little bird was tenacious and very quick, but he was not strong in level. She could only hope that he would not get caught and find her brother somehow...
Chance, still by Ellie's side, looked from the sick human to Angelo, his gaze unreadable. The little Eevee recognized the look in his eyes, the gaze he often found himself giving Vivian or Tunes. When he recognized it he decided that he disliked the Umbreon a little less. He looked away, resting his head on his paws, but his eyes shifted to EV, was was still lying next to him. She, too, was now looking at Ellie, unsettled by how much sickness she sensed in the girl.

"That's good..." The words hardly left Ellie's lips. She mouthed it more than she said it. If Tunes wasn't looking at her while she said it, it was a positive probibility she might have not even heard it. "I'm sorry, but I think I need to rest some more... I'm a terrible host, I really do apologize..." she murmured before her shoulders slumped and she was out like a light.
Angelo frowned. He'd never seen his Trainer so sick before. Turning to EV, he didn't even care to show how much Ellie's well being affected him as he said, ("What am I supposed to do?")

Tunes looked at her worriedly, feeling her forehead for a temperature. She felt completely useless, and at a loss of what to do. Was Ellie going to be okay till they got help?
EV looked back at him, her eyes not as hard as they usually were. The look on Angelo's face was pitiful. "What can you do?" she murmured, shaking her head.
Beside her, Chance Sneezed, and EV nearly jumped out of her skin. She gazed down at the little Eevee, her ears perking. Chance, who had been dozing, did not even open his eyes. He curled into a tight ball, his tail covering his face. She blinked, turning back to Angelo.

Angelo's ears flattened. ("Not much more than I already am,") he sighed, crestfallen. His shoulders spiked up in surprise as Chance sneezed. Hopefully that was just a coincidence and the scrap wasn't going to get sick too. Angelo had spent the whole time she'd been sick with her and he was perfectly fine beside the mild starvation. But then again, that might make him a little more immune to catching it. Maybe he was over thinking it; it could just be the dust in the room. It hadn't been cleaned in a month after all. Plus, if anyone was going to get sick, it was going to be Lemondrop.

The sneeze jolted the Pikachu from her sound sleep, and she woke with a start. She sat up on the futon and blinked, finding its source, and she frowned. "He's not getting sick too, is he?"
"He's not sick!" EV snapped, glaring at the tiny Pikachu impatiently. "It's just a sneeze."
Lemondrop's eyebrows rose, and he put her hands up defensively, but said nothing. Instead she sat, observing from her place on the futon silently.

The Umbreon watched the brief quarrel between Teammates with half-lidded eyes. He wanted to kill that Pikachu. He really did. More so than he wanted to kill Zeke, sometimes. I don't get along very well with Pikachus, do I? he questioned himself, glaring subconsciously at the yellow fluff before realizing what he was doing and turning away. ("When do you think Note will get here?") he suddenly asked, out of the blue. He knew that Note could help them. He hadn't ever battled with Note's Pokémon before, but he knew they were tough.

EV shrugged, trying not to look back at Chance as he slept beside her. "No clue. I don't know where they are, Angelo. I was supposed to go back with him after we left this place, but that's obviously not happening. But maybe he's close."
