Ellie grinned groggily. "Yeah, he can be a sweetie when he wants to."
Angelo licked his Trainer's palm once more before bounding off the bed next to EV. After getting out her anger on Chris and Brook, perhaps she would forgive him? It was a stupid reason to be mad, anyway. He was still curious to ask why she was so offended by him thinking Chance was his son. Did she hate the Eevee that much?

Tunes smiled, but she could see that Ellie was not well, and it still bothered her deeply. "They won't even let you out to get medicine though? Nobody can do anything?"
Chance jumped when he Angelo landed on the ground by him, and he spun around, growling warily. EV looked up at him, and the anger had faded from her eyes.

"They're not even supposed to know anyone lives here. If they find out, they'll file in and take all of my Pokémon," she explained with half-lidded eyes. "No one can do anything if they want to keep their Pokémon."
Angelo whirled his head around as Chance growled. ("Buzz off.)" He turned back to EV, noticing how the anger had faded from her eyes. He physically relaxed a little, but having the wanna-be-tough-guy Eevee always rounding on him unnerved him. He wanted to whack him over the head and he would have had it not been for EV standing right next to him.

Tunes frowned, trying to think of something. There had to be something she could do, someone that would help her stop this. Team Rocket couldn't be allowed to destroy this town.
Chance looked at him, his spirits broken, and then looked up at EV. She flicked her tail, and gestured in the other direction. "You heard him. Buzz off," she said cooly, her voice not carrying the normal harshness that it did when she talked to anybody but the Eevee. He turned, pouting, and trotted away.
EV watched him go, and then turned back to Angelo.

Ellie closed her eyes, exhausted from just talking. Before she could accidentally drift off, though, she flung out an arm, gesturing towards a futon. "Feel free to stay the night. It's not safe outside, anyway."
Angelo watched as the Eevee bounded away. The Umbreon was unfortunately at loss of what to say, anyway. What was there to talk about that was a complete tangent from what was happening?

Tunes smiled, nodding weakly as Ellie drifted off into sleep. She slowly rose, taking the box of pokeblocks with her, and placed them on the floor, where she knew the Pokémon could find it. Then she laid down on the futon. She was tired and she felt bad that she could think of nothing to help this sweet girl, but she had to sleep.
As she laid down Lemondrop bounded from her pocket, climbing the arm of the futon and resting on top. Chance, seeing his trainer curling up to sleep, jumped on the futon (with some effort, he was so small) and nestled himself under her arm.
EV stared at him, trying to think of something to say. "So life's been hell?" was what she finally came up with.

Angelo nodded, shrugging. ("Yeah, pretty much. How's life with the girl been?") Traveling with a much younger girl had to be a much different experience than traveling with Note. Not only did the Trainers change, but the Pokémon around her. Instead of bossy Don, sweet Elliot, playful Judis, and careless Victoria, she now had to deal with a stuck-up, sad excuse for a Pikachu and a petty Eevee who thought he was hot stuff.

"I haven't been with her for long," she replied, shrugging. "She's nice. Her Pokémon are a pain." She would not say it, but she enjoyed Tunes' company a little more than she enjoyed Note's. Note was awkward, he didn't really know how to handle her, whereas Tunes... She wasn't really sure how to put it. Tunes was just more likeable to her. But the childish Pokémon that she had drew EV insane. She was not kidding when she had said that she probably would have killed the tiny Pikachu when she had the chance, and Angelo had not even met her other Pokémon...

("You don't need to tell me twice,") the Umbreon muttered, glancing over to where the Trainer, tiny Pikachu, and eevee were settled. The Dark Type sighed. "I think when we're through with this, Ellie's going to pick up a few more Pokémon. She was planning to meet up with a trainer who trains solely water type Pokémon before the Lock Down.")

EV grimaced. "Great. So you'll be dealing with brats too."

Angelo shrugged. ("Yeah, pretty much. Exciting, isn't it?") he growled, a monotone expression enveloping his features. He hated baby Pokémon. With a burning passion.

She murmured agreement, looking over to where Tunes' box of pokeblock lay on the floor. "Have I mentioned you look like hell? Go eat. You look like you're about to keel over." She gestured to the box.

Despite Angelo's pride and stubbornness, the Umbreon limped over to the box of Pokeblocks and gently grasped one in his jaws. It was fruity and just the texture against his tongue drew in aroused senses. He quickly demolished it, though he made sure to keep at a decent manner so that EV wouldn't poke fun at him later.

She waited, sitting patiently as he ate. A smirk played across her face as she noticed how he was trying to be controlled. In light of his current situation, it was kind of funny.

Once finished, Angelo drew his paw across his lips, trying to wipe away any crumbs. Looking back at EV, he noticed her smirking. It appeared the Umbreon's efforts were in vain. He sighed and closed his eyes.
The nocturnal Pokémon began to feel drowsy as sun cast its final rays on the land. Had they been in any normal situation, this would be the time where Angelo would be getting really hyped up for some midnight exploring, but since he'd been spending his days trying to find food for the family, he was exhausted at every hour.
