"They usually are," Note said, smiling reassuringly. "Are you from around here?"
A new gleam came into Vivian's eyes, and her tail lashed. she snarled, staring him strait in the eyes. [And I can guarantee that it's made me a lot tougher than the cushy life you've had.]

Ellie lifted her head at his new inquiration. "I was born in Goldenrod City. It's not too far away from here," She placed her pointer finger gingerly against her bottom lip. Ellie certainly didn't like the idea of walking all the way to Goldenrod though; she'd flown here on her Honchkrow, Tyler.
Angelo felt the smirk on his face spread wider and wider until he got to his paws, padding towards Vivian calmly. "(What makes you think that my life was any easier than yours? Is it the fact I don't look like some gnarled Flareon gone wrong?)" He mused innocently, only a hairs-length away from the enraged eon. He returned the flare, but didn't show his fangs.

"It's still nearly a day's walk, isn't it?" He raised a brow. "Or am I thinking of somewhere else?"
Don turned, looking around Note to watch what was unfolding between the two fox Pokémon near the glass wall. He frowned, wary of how much their back-and-forth was escalating.
Vivian's tail lashed, but she kept her cool as she glared down the Umbreon. [Frankly, yes.]

Ellie shrugged. "It's anyone's guess, really." She pulled out a Pokéball from her belt, holding out the red-and-white capsul towards Note. "I flew here on a Honchkrow, and he's pretty speedy. We've flown all the way to another region in less than an hour before." She grinned, gawking endearingly at the Pokémon the cascaded in front of the boy. Tyler was a very precious Pokémon.
The cheeky Umbreon chuckled. "(Obviously you were taught in the wrong. Didn't anyone tell you not to judge a book by its cover?)" he cooed, enjoying how intimidating the female tried to look. It might have worked on Ellie's Teddiursa, Konan, but while the metal claws embedded on the hybrid's paws were rather showy, Angelo wasn't moved.

Note smiled, impressed by the power that the Honchcrow obviously had. His eyes returned to Ellie. "I've just been walking around lately, I guess I've lost my sense of time.
Vivian's eyes narrowed as she stared back at the cocky Umbreon. "[What should I judge them by then? Because most Pokémon don't have much to them,]" she said darkly.

Ellie cocked her head to the side like a curious puppy. "Walking around, huh? What for? Just to sight-see?" she inquired innocently, hoping she didn't sound too rash. She put the Pokéball back on her pouch and patted it safely. She was interested to hear more about this boy.
Angelo rolled his eyes. "(You're a self-absorbed, barbaric fool, aren't you?)" he commented rather bluntly. He lifted a paw, his ear twitching. "(While you roll in self-pity, there are countless other Pokémon who've gone through worse shit than you have. Open your eyes, tuts.)" His cocky expression fell into a rather serious one, his eyebrows furrowed ominously.

He crossed his arms and shrugged. "Pretty much. I've get bored quickly, so I spend a lot of time just walking around and training," he explained.
Fire flashed in Vivian's eyes, and with a venomous growl she launched herself at Angelo. Before she could pin him to the ground Donetello was between them, shouldering them apart. "Woah, waoh, break it up!" he growled, looking between them both warily. Vivian stumbled back, her limbs trembling with rage.

Ellie placed her hand on her chin and nodded, but didn't have much time to respond before she heard snarling in the background. She whirled around, her blue eyes widening as she noticed Note's hybrid Pokémon, Vivian, literally shaking with rage. She ran over to Angelo with concern, looking at the three dark Pokémon. "What's going on?!" she demanded.
Angelo's ears drew back as Vivian launched for him, but his face remained defined. He jumped to his paws, ready to counter when suddenly a Houndoom stood in their way, wedged between the two. The Umbreon gave the Dark type a curious look before resting his cool gaze on the mutt Pokémon. "(Temper, temper. Someone might get hurt.)"

Note turned, stiffened, and ran to Vivian, kneeling down beside her. "Hey, cool it!" he said softly, pulling her away from Angelo and sitting her down. She sat, still glaring daggers at the Umberon, but the trembling in her limbs lessened. Donetello turned and gave Angelo a warning look before taking a step away from him. He was on edge; if a fight broke out between these two, it would get ugly, and he wasn't really sure if he could stop Vivian once she was completely enraged. He had never been able to do it before.

Angelo narrowed his eyes at Don's warning glance, sticking his nose into the air haughtily. "(She started it...)" The Dark Pokémon insisted with a mutter, turning tail and heading back towards where he'd been sitting before. He avoided a stern glare from Ellie, snorting to himself. Always blamed for everything!

Vivian turned and marched back to the glass. She slid to the ground in front of the massive window and stared out at the sea. Slowly, she visibly, calmed, though there was still fire in her eyes. Note frowned at her for a moment, and then slowly rose to his feet. He was growing tired of Vivian's constant squabbles. He turned to Don and pet him on the head. "I owe you a treat later," he told the Houndoom, glancing once again at Vivian briefly.

Ellie rushed back to Note, a frown embdedded on her features. "I'm so sorry! Angelo can provoke some Pokémon really easily. I'm really sorry, I'll talk to him later--" she apologised frantically, annoyance bubbling in her chest for the small Umbreon. She was used to him quarreling with his teammates, but to a friend's Pokémon.... That was completely unacceptable!

Note shook his head nonchalantly. "Don't worry about it. Vivian's probably one of the most confrontational Pokémon I've ever met in my life. I'm just glad that they didn't hurt each other." He smiled dismissively.

Ellie sighed in relief, scratching the back of her neck nervously. "Me too..." She winced, noticing a lot of the other people in the lighthouse were staring obnoxiously. "Mm, I'm a little nervous sticking around here..." she muttered, staring at the ground and tapping her food against the floor. "Would you... be interested in coming back to Goldenrod with me? It's really noisy and fun there," she invited enthusiastically.

Note looked at her for a moment, surprised that she would still be so friendly after Vivian's show. He couldn't help but grin a little. "Sure, I guess. Sounds like fun!"
