overall personality : two short (or one long) paragraphs (minimum) about personality Ebele is not an outgoing person by birth, but doing contests brought out a different side of her. She's gained a great deal of confidence since starting contests, and has lost most of her fear of talking to people and making friends. On a good day she's bubbling, outgoing, giving, and energetic. On a bad day she's quiet but polite and avoids people until her social battery recharges. Ebele has devoted her live to contests. She feels that it's her greatest strength, and she loves everything about it, from the dressing up to the performance itself. The bigger the crowd, the better. She loves finding new ways to entertain with her Pokémon's abilities and moves, and she enjoys learning new dance routines to spice up her act. She's branded herself as a flexible contestant, able to do the cute and frilly along with hip-hop-style performances. When she's not performing, she's caring for and treating herself, her sister, and their Pokémon. She loves to give, whether it's on stage or at a meal. Ebele rarely gets frustrated, but when she finds herself up against a challenge she can't beat she tends to shut down. It's hard for her to find her footing after such a failure, and she usually needs help to get over it and get started again. She's a big fan of giving up and feeling sorry for herself when the going gets tough. the history mother : Anais Taylor (deceased) father : Malomo Lapido siblings : Yejide Lapido, twin sister home town: New Mauville current residency: (KantÅ) other important people : Koyinsola Lapido, paternal grandfather The entire Curtis Family Yejide and Ebele were born in New Mauville, where their mother Anais and father Malomo Ladipo had recently moved in anticipation for their birth. Their mother died during childbirth; they were only expecting one baby and complications arose with the second. Yejide, the expected baby, was born first, and Ebele was born second. Their father named them, and their seconds names are the names their mother mused about. After Anais' death their father sold their home in New Mauville and moved the twins to their grandfather's (Koyinsola Ladipo) house, where they lived in relative seclusion. Due to the house being off the main trail, the girls rarely talked to other kids before they were five, at which age they began venturing onto the route to socialize with wandering trainers and Pokémon. Growing up, the girls were inseparable. Their father and grandfather put very few restrictions on them, and so they never felt pressured to act a certain way. Their curiosity led them all through the uncharted forest south of Route 118 and as a result they know the area very well. They made occasional trips to New Mauville with their father, but due to his bad feelings toward the city neither of them felt a strong positive connection to it either. Their grandfather and father would often take them farther, and they have been to a few of the surrounding towns but have no strong memories of these places. They had wild Pokémon that they occasionally played with, but they did not have any Pokémon of their own. Certain trainers came to know them, but these trainers were generally older, and only passed a few times; most of these people did not remain connected to them in later years. The only major source of conflict for Yejide and Ebele growing up were the disagreements that their father and grandfather had: Koyinsola wanted his grandaughters to seem more "Hoenn" and less foreign, while Malomo wanted his daughters to maintain their foreign roots. Koyinsola also showed no bias towards the girls- he could occasionally mix them up -while Malomo could never completely shake the feeling that Ebele was responsible for her mother's death. The two men tried to keep their bickering to a minimum around the girls, but the twins noticed the discord, and Ebele always felt her father's bias. Nonetheless, both of the men love the girls, and they love them. While Malomo always calls the girls by their first names, Koyinsola switches between their first and less foreign nicknames for them. When the girls were ten they moved to KantÅ with their father. It was a huge deal for them, and despite the friendly atmosphere, they never felt as comfortable in a small town as they did at their grandfather's house. Nonetheless the girls made the best of it, and their father seemed much happier. He soon made friends with the Sure-Curtis family, although the girls' shyness kept them from meeting the kids. When the girls expressed an interest in going back to Hoenn for their Pokémon journey, it took their father some time to warm up to the idea. He relented after they received their Vulpixes from the Surge-Curtises for their 14th birthdays. At fifteen the girls set out for their Pokémon journey with Huff and Puff. They went straight to their grandfather's house first, and then went north, where Ebele caught her Spinda Bo. The twins travled through Kantō, Johto, and Hoenn. While Ebele was not a bad trainer, she found that she didn't enjoy battles as much as Yejide did. What she did enjoy was dressing up and caring for her Pokémon. She found a niche for this in contests, and while very intimidated by them at first, was encouraged to enter them by Yejide. She won, and with each victory her confidence grew. Soon the girls were chasing contests around regions; Ebele for the contests themselves and Yejide following and encouraging her, and battling along the way. Ebele set the pace of their adventures, with Yejide usually running out of badges she could get before Ebele ran out of contests. Ebele came to lean on Yejide heavily as she became more successful. Her sister's willingness to handle the details like snacks, transportation, and protection meant that Ebele could devote her time and energy entirely to preparing and performing. It's come to a point where she doesn't even realize everything that Yejide does for her, and would be lost without her help. She isn't ungrateful, but she does take her for granted. The matter is complicated more by the fact that Ebele's contests finance their life-- something that they both know but don't discuss. Their system works perfectly for them at the moment, but it is precarious. the team Puff Vulpix, lv. 35 Item: Bright Powder- raises evasion by 10%
