Note chuckled and rubbed the back of his head. "No, not really. I just have a few good Pokémon. Mine all like to fight, so yeah."

Tunes lightly leaned her head against his shoulder, and he patted her head. He went on, "Donetello used to be a feral Houndour. I've tamed him over the years, but when he's in a pinch, he still tends to play dirty."

"I see." She said, then was silent for a moment. "Do you think that Team magma will come back for our Pokémon?"

"Maybe," Note murmured pensively.

"Probably," Tunes said sadly, closing her eyes.

"Then Joey..." He jumped as Karla brought him into the conversation. "I'm all for strengh in numbers, but you're just a child and you're not... you've had enough. I don't think you should stay with us."

He looked at the two trainers for a moment. "I'm sorry for what I did, but I can really leave?"

Note nodded. "It'd probably be for the best..." He looked down at his sister. "It'd probably be better for you if you left, too, Em. I don't want to get you roped into this."

Tunes shook her head without opening her eyes. "I'm not going."

Note frowned. "But-"

"I'm not going anywhere, Eli. I'm staying with you."

Note stared down at her, but he knew that he would not be able to sway her opinion. He never had been able to. He sighed. "Fine..."

"I want to keep the Mightyena," Tunes declared.

Joey gave her a strange look, but quickly hid it. "Oh...okay. I'm really sorry. Maybe we'll meet up again."

After the boy had left, Karla turned to Tunes. "But wasn't it Team Magma's? ...Will it listen to you?" She sounded very concerned but it was obvious there were more questions on her mind.

"Pokémon always listen to her," Note said softly. But he had the same apprehension as Karla.

"If Vivian will listen to you, then Mightyena will listen to me," she said, opening her eyes and poking her brother in the chest. "It'll be fine. And if I can't get it to listen to me, I'll release it somewhere where it can't get into trouble." She looked down. "But I don't have any really strong Pokémon except for my Pikachu, and since I'm not leaving, I have to step up my game somehow."

"Pikachu?" Karla hadn't seen a pikachu in the pokeballs the nurse had taken. She understood the need to improve, however. "Maybe we should all do some training." As soon as she said it, she felt too outspoken. She had only seen Don and EV battle, so she couldn't judge these people.

"Maybe I should take Elliot out of storage," Note muttered thoughtfully, glancing down at Tunes.

She nodded. "Lemondrop, looks like you're going to have to be on your guard," she said, looking down. The tiny Pikachu poked her head out of her pocket, her ears perked. She had liked what she had heard; it meant she would have an excuse to shock people.

"Oh, how cute!" Karla responded to the Pokémon's appearance. "And Elliot?"

"Elliot is my starter," Note explained. "He's a Charizard. He's not much for fighting, but he's really strong. I put him in storage because he has a family with a Delcatty that belongs to my friend, so he's at her ranch. But desperate times call for deserate measures..."

Lemondrop turned in surprise to Karla and her ears lowered. She glanced at her apprehensively, before looking away, around the building.

"Oh... a charizard and a... delcatty?"

Tunes blinked and looked at her brother in surprise. "I didn't know that."

Note shrugged helplessly. "I don't really know either; Elliot's always been kind of out of the norm..."

Karla giggled. "Well, It will be interesting to meet him. You've met most of my Pokémon; Samuel, my starter here, Vivian, Margot, Charlie and Ruffle Jay." She showed the Pokémon inside thier pokeballs to clarify who she meant.

Note smiled slightly. "I think you've met most of mine, too," he said, pulling out the pokeballs he had. "This is Judis and Victoria. The Houndoom is Donetello; and of course, my Vivian."

"This is Lemondrop," Tunes said, pointing to the Pikachu in her pocket before pulling out her pokeballs. "And this is Firecracker, Halloween, and Aviator."
